Early this morning I have recieved a notification about another major upgrade from Sony labs on the range of Vegas and DVD autoring packages called Vegas + DVD Production Suite which combines Vegas 7, DVD Architect 4, and Dolby Digital® AC-3 encoding software to offer an integrated environment for all phases of professional video, audio, DVD, and broadcast production. This suite lets you edit and process DV, HDV, SD/HD-SDI, and all XDCAM formats in real time, fine-tune audio with precision, and author surround sound, dual-layer DVDs.
This sounds pretty exciting and in sync with a range of capable HDD and hi-def handy cams such as HDRSR1(Shown on the left, expected mid October) and DCRSR80 among some of the higher high definition cams available today.
Now Back to the the Vegas and DVD workflow, some of the new features allow you to export directly to Sony PSP, AVC/AAC Support, Insert I-Frames at markers, Flexible window docking, Enhanced video preview options,Improved snapping, ability to view media marker names in events among other great features.
